Madame Tellier runs a brothel. When she must go to visit her brother in a town 30 miles away for the confirmation of her niece, she takes her girls along as they would be untrustworthy by themselves. On the train to the confirmation, Madame and
her girls are entertained by a garter salesman who insists on trying them on, much to the embarrassment of a Norman couple and their crate of ducks.
